Subject and Scope:

IFS - International Featured Standards for Food Safety and Quality is developed to assess the competence of food producers in terms of both safety and quality of food products.

The IFS standards are divided into several categories:

1. IFS Food: Pertains to food production.

2. IFS Global Markets - Food: This is a standardized food safety assessment program for retailers, as well as food products in the food industry.

3. IFS Wholesale / Cash & Carry: This standard is designed to optimize audit procedures for wholesalers and Cash & Carry traders.

4. IFS Logistics: It applies to both food and non-food products and covers all logistics activities, such as loading, unloading, and transportation.

5. IFS HPC: This standard ensures product safety, reduces costs, and ensures transparency in the entire production chain of household and personal care products.

6. IFS PACsecure: This standard is for auditing primary and secondary packaging material manufacturers.
