ISO 29100:2024 provides a privacy framework that:

— specifies a common privacy terminology;

— defines actors and their roles in the processing of personally identifiable information (PII);

— describes privacy safeguarding considerations;

— provides references to known privacy principles for information technology.

This standard applies to individuals and organizations involved in the specification, acquisition, design, development, testing, maintenance, administration, and operation of information and communication technology systems or services where privacy controls for the processing of PII are required.
